Midwest Veterinary Supply has been a longstanding leader in supporting the veterinary industry since 1961. As our company continues to expand, we stay true to our core mission of delivering exceptional value to veterinarians and their dedicated staff who entrust us with their business. Our commitment to customers goes beyond product offerings, encompassing timeless values such as honesty, dedication, and surpassing expectations. We remain an family-and-employee-owned business.

Established in 1961 by Dr. Robert G. (Doc) Flickinger in North Dakota, Midwest Veterinary Supply was born out of a vision to streamline product ordering for veterinarians and foster strong customer relationships. Recognizing the importance of listening to customers' needs for success, the company relocated to Bloomington, Minnesota in 1965 to better serve its growing clientele.

Over the years, Midwest Veterinary Supply continued to evolve and expand its reach by opening branches in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin in 1974. With an eye towards meeting customer demand and enhancing service, the company relocated its corporate office to Burnsville, MN, and established a third warehouse in Des Moines, IA in 1980, and extended to Ft. Wayne, IN in 1992.

Upon Doc Flickinger's retirement in 1994, his son Guy Flickinger assumed the role of President, spearheading the company's growth. Under his visionary leadership, Midwest Veterinary Supply further expanded its presence by opening warehouses in Norristown, PA in 2004, Dallas, TX in 2010, Las Vegas, NV in 2016, Birmingham, AL in 2018, and Ocala, FL in 2021. Guy's dedication to customer satisfaction and industry expertise ensured that the company could adapt to the ever-changing landscape of the animal health industry.

In 2024, Midwest acquired Victor Medical which led to opening our new distribution center in Visalia, CA and call center in Laguna Hills, CA in 2025.
